LIVELIHOOD
“Empowering women, youth, and refugees with skills to end hunger and build resilient livelihoods.”
Humanity Horizons’ Livelihoods Program is a catalyst for dignity, resilience, and opportunity. Rooted in global best‑practice frameworks and Uganda’s national priorities, it equips women, youth, and refugees with market‑driven vocational skills, entrepreneurship training, and inclusive finance. Through Climate Action & Skills Hubs, participants gain hands‑on expertise in agribusiness, renewable energy, tailoring, catering, carpentry, and digital literacy—paired with financial literacy, cooperative development, and psychosocial support. By linking training to markets, reducing post‑harvest losses, and fostering green enterprises, the program transforms subsistence into surplus and skills into sustainable incomes.
Women and youth are placed at the center, leading cooperatives, launching businesses, and shaping governance. Every graduate becomes a multiplier—creating jobs, mentoring peers, and strengthening community resilience. For donors, this is a proven, scalable model that delivers measurable impact across Zero Hunger, Decent Work, Gender Equality, and Climate Action, ensuring no child dies of hunger and every community thrives.
