STUDENT
EMPOWERMENT THROUGH CLIMATE CTION HUBS
Climate Change and Entrepreneurship Course
In Uganda, climate change is a youth emergency disrupting education and futures. Humanity Horizons’ ERPDP empowers secondary students as Green Intellectuals through a year‑long Climate Change and Entrepreneurship Course delivered across Term 1, Term 2, and Term 3. The course blends climate literacy, entrepreneurship, disaster risk reduction, and student‑led projects, ensuring knowledge is applied through real action.

At the heart are Climate Action Hubs—student‑led spaces where learners design and implement solutions like solar irrigation or menstrual health enterprises. These hubs cultivate critical thinking, leadership, and resilience, while the National Student Climate Summit elevates youth voices to shape policy, including Uganda’s NDCs. Inclusive of girls, refugees, and marginalized learners, the program equips students with portfolios of impact, practical skills, and pathways to green jobs.
ERPDP proves youth are not beneficiaries but leaders of resilience. What’s needed now is scale, investment, and shared leadership.
