WASH & HEALTH OUTREACH
The fight for clean water, safe sanitation and health equity cannot wait
In rural Uganda, millions still lack safe water, sanitation, and basic health services—costing lives, futures, and opportunities. Humanity Horizons’ WASH & Health Outreach responds by installing and rehabilitating climate‑resilient water systems—boreholes, solar pumps, and gravity schemes—while building safe, gender‑sensitive, and disability‑friendly sanitation facilities.
Hygiene promotion is brought to markets, schools, and churches through drama, song, and peer educators, making handwashing and menstrual health part of daily culture. In partnership with clinics, we deliver nutrition awareness, maternal health support, and psychosocial care, ensuring holistic well‑being. Safeguarding is central, with trained committees protecting water points and facilities from exploitation. The results are clear: reduced disease, higher school attendance, women reclaiming time for work, and stronger community resilience. With expanded support, we can scale these proven solutions so clean water, safe sanitation, and health equity become a foundation for dignity and opportunity for all.
