Roots Of Resilience Program

Humanity Horizons’ Roots of Resilience Program equips out-of-school youth and communities with the tools to thrive in a changing climate. By combining vocational training, livelihoods, clean water and sanitation (WASH), inclusive healthcare, and policy reform, the program builds climate-ready, self-reliant communities. At the heart are Climate Action & Skills Hubs, spaces where young people gain practical skills, launch green enterprises, and lead local adaptation projects. Through health outreach, women and youth empowerment, and green job creation, the program strengthens governance and fosters equity. Every activity is designed to be scalable and sustainable, transforming vulnerability into opportunity. By aligning with Uganda’s National Development Plan III, the Climate Change Act (2021), and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Roots of Resilience connects local priorities to global commitments—ensuring resilience takes root for generations to come.
