VOCATIONAL
SKILLS
Creating urgent pathways to dignified work, entrepreneurship, and community leadership
Vocational Training &
Skills Humanity Horizons equips out‑of‑school youth with practical, market‑driven skills that open
pathways to dignified work, entrepreneurship, and leadership. Training hubs
bring opportunities closer to communities, offering flexible, hands‑on courses in agribusiness,
tailoring, renewable energy, catering, carpentry, digital literacy, and
motorbike repair. Each course integrates entrepreneurship, financial literacy,
and life skills, ensuring graduates can create and sustain livelihoods. Women,
refugees, and persons with disabilities are actively included, with safe spaces
and support systems that remove barriers to participation. By linking training
to local market demand and embedding climate‑smart practices, every
graduate becomes a multiplier—employing others, mentoring peers, and driving
community resilience. This approach not only transforms individual lives but
strengthens local economies, reduces inequalities, and builds a skilled workforce
ready to power Uganda’s sustainable future.
